Rosalie Cheese – A Food Innovation internship in Bali at an artisinal cheese company.
In 2022, I completed a volunteer food innovation internship at Rosalie Cheese in Bali to gain more experience and knowledge within the food industry. My daily tasks mainly consisted of supporting the online marketing and content team, creating content including recipe videos, organizing events, assisting product photoshoots and developing positioning and branding concepts.
The end products
In addition to my daily tasks, I have been very busy with product development. The biggest project was for a vegan cheese. I was involved in this project from A to Z, brainstorming, target group research, recipe development, testing, packaging design and marketing. Soon this vegan cheese recipe will appear on the Balinese shelves :). I also developed a sourdough grissini for Rosalie Cheese. Due to the enthusiasm, we held an on- and offline cheese & sourdough workshop with a collaboration with La Dame in Vanilla.
During my time at Rosalie Cheese, I learned a lot about food startup businesses and entrepreneurship from my boss lady Ayu. By working a lot with other local food start ups, I gained a lot of inspiration and knowledge about the (Balinese) food industry, experiencing it from farm to table.
